Expedition

Ever dreamed of following in the footsteps of Hillary and Tenzing? Well, perhaps Everest may be a step too far but there are many opportunities for budding mountaineers who want to try their hand at one of the Himalayan giants.

There are two basic categories of Himalayan peak that can be attempted. The higher and better known peaks attract full expedition status along with the associated costs, which can be considerable. If one of these is for you then we can certainly help with all of the considerable organisation that is entailed in such a venture.

If you set your sights somewhat lower then there are a number of peaks on the government permitted list, known as “trekking peaks” that can be attempted by less experienced climbers at a much reduced cost. While these peaks are known as trekking peaks they still pose serious challenges to climbers and some require quite a high degree of technical skills.
